Tea is the second-most-consumed beverage in the world after water, so naturally there will be a lot of tea bags dumped as waste. The next time you make a cup of tea, keep hold of your teabag instead of throwing it away because they can be used around your house and for your health. Tea bags contribute about fifteen hundred tons of waste to landfills each year, so why throw them away when you could use them for several other purposes?

Health & Beauty:
1) If you have a bruise, sunburn, bee sting, mosquito bite, or cold sore put a cool, damp tea bag on the affected area and use like a compress. The tea will bring comforting relief, reduce inflammation, and promote healing.

2) Tea bags help to get rid of acne and also mitigates pain from rashes.

3) Used tea bags help to remove dark circles and rejuvenate tired, puffy eyes.

2) Drop a two or three used teabags in a sink full of dirty dishes and warm water. The tea will help break down the grease and food stains, this will make the process of cleaning quicker.

3) Place a couple of teabags in an open container in a smelly fridge to get rid of nasty smells.

4) Rub a damp, black used tea bag around the surface of a rusty pan to keep them rust free.
